Casa Mayor
Space to put into play the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. Undulating lines and intense colors like red light up and evoke the sensuality of the design. The lighting regulates the intimacy of the environment and at the same time balances the provocative and seductive sensation between light and color. Features of a contemporary style mix to give life to this place of the imagination.
The bathroom space was conceived with the concept of creating a skin inside a rectangular container. An existing window in the premises was closed with the aim of closing the natural lighting of the space and being able to play with a game of artificial indirect light. Inside this rectangular box runs a double skin with a continuous surface lined with red Venetian mosaic, which is completely suspended and floated at all ends; This same concept of lightness was applied to the floor, by placing a modulated teak wood deck serving as a mat that goes with a river stone edge.
The wooden cover, also suspended, houses 2 rectangular glass sinks that are also floated, and the only interruption of this red band is in the slot for the mirror, as well as in the niches that go in the upper part of the toilet that is floated. to the wall with a hidden tank. Candles were placed in these niches to achieve a more relaxed atmosphere. As the centerpiece of the bathroom is the tub superimposed in the center as a sculptural piece occupying the predominant role of the space. 2 stools accompany the space as furniture to sit and relax and a wooden shelf was designed under the sinks to house the baskets of towels and accessories.
